G&H TRAINING POT EASTERN TEAMS COMPETITION
2011 - HASTINGS
2010 - GHSOB
2009 - GHSOB
2008 - HASTINGS
The G&H Pot is the competition where Eastern clubs front up with a man and woman competing in the Open/B Grade, C, D, E and F grades to play off for bragging rights.
The 2011 competition was held recently and hosted jointly by the Hastings and Havelock North clubs. Teams from Havelock North, Hastings, Hawke's Bay, HB Lawn Tennis and Squash club and Gisborne High School Old Boys competed.
The G&H Pot was fiercely contested, and rules were tried and tested over the weekend. It made for a great competition when three clubs (Hastings, Hawke's Bay and HBLT) finished on the same points and a winner needed to be decided by games for and against. The Hastings Tennis and Squash club came through to take the honours and the Cup (donated by sponsor Geoff Goodchild of G&H Training).
A great weekend of hard, competitive squash and good camraderie was had by all. Next's year G&H Pot will be contested in Gisborne.
This annual event is kindly sponsored by G&H Training Ltd, and is an annual event between all Squash Eastern Clubs.
The G&H Training Pot is hosted on a rotational basis and is financially supported by Squash Eastern.
The G&H Training Pot is a club challenge played between 1 man & 1 woman from each grade.
The rules are set by the clubs with consultation with Squash Eastern.
